Advisory and drafting work
We have always had a substantial volume of advisory work. Some of this work is connected with actual or prospective litigation; but much of it is purely advisory. This includes:
• interpreting contracts
• interpreting statutes
• analysing evidence and facts
• researching case law
• remedies in contract, tort, equity and restitution
• the human rights implications of property law
The complexity of property contracts and statutes is such that members of chambers are well placed and are often asked to advise on other commercial contracts and difficult statutory provisions. Indeed, the now standard work, The Interpretation of Contracts, is written by Mr Justice Lewison, a former head of Falcon Chambers.
We welcome instructions from surveyors, accountants and other professionals by licensed access.
