Current Opportunities
Opportunity for junior practitioners to join Falcon Chambers
Deadline: 23rd January 2026, 11:59pm
Falcon Chambers invites applications from junior practitioners who wish to join this busy and successful set. In particular, Chambers encourages applications from juniors of 3 to 12 years’ call, although applications will be considered from juniors of all levels of seniority.
As a result of the increasing demand for high-quality junior barristers in all areas of Chambers’ practice we are looking to add to our numbers. We are a busy and friendly set of Chambers and a number of our members have joined us from other sets.
Applicants will be expected to have an established property-related practice or the ability to build one.
About Falcon Chambers
Falcon Chambers comprises 17 silks and 31 junior barristers, all of whom practice in property-related litigation. In addition to the areas of commercial, residential and agricultural landlord and tenant and real property-related disputes, members also regularly act in property-related professional negligence and insolvency cases as well as compulsory purchase and rating matters. Chambers also has strong teams who undertake work relating to the Building Safety Act 2022 and telecommunications cases.
Chambers has been consistently ranked in Band 1 for real estate litigation and agriculture in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners and most members have strong individual rankings. We wish to maintain and strengthen our market base by recruiting one or more able and ambitious junior tenants.
All new members of Chambers are offered informal mentoring and support to ensure a smooth transition and as part of Chambers’ continuing commitment to the wellbeing of our members.
The application process
Please download and complete this application form and email it (in either Word or PDF format) to tenancy@falcon-chambers.com by the deadline, 23rd January 2026 at 11:59pm. All applications will be treated in strict confidence.
When considering applications, we will look for candidates who can demonstrate:
- a strong academic record;
- the ability to absorb complex information rapidly, identifying essential points and possible solutions in a practical and pragmatic manner;
- effective advocacy skills;
- a high standard of written work;
- the ability to work to deadlines;
- good interpersonal skills;
- commitment;
- enthusiasm;
- integrity; and
- reliability.
We ask for the details of two referees whom we might contact, but please note that we do not necessarily seek references from all referees.
We expect that shortlisted candidates will be invited to one or possibly two interviews and might be asked for more detailed practice information (which will be seen only by the head of the recruitment committee, the Chambers’ Director and the Senior Clerk). Candidates might also be asked to provide an anonymised sample of certain types of written work (e.g. an Opinion or a skeleton argument). We will aim to interview shortlisted candidates by mid-February 2026 with a decision being made shortly thereafter.
If any prospective applicants would like to discuss applying to Falcon Chambers in confidence, they can speak informally to our Chambers Director, Edith Robertson (who can put them in touch with one of our junior tenants) or Adam Rosenthal KC. To do so, please email tenancy@falcon-chambers.com.
Falcon Chambers is committed to furthering equality and diversity in Chambers and at the Bar and to that end, we encourage applications from all under-represented groups at the Bar.
