Falcon Chambers sponsors Cambridge University conference, Celebrating 100 Years of the 1925 Property Legislation
Falcon Chambers is proud to be sponsoring Celebrating 100 Years of the 1925 Property Legislation, a landmark conference hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Property Law in association with the Cambridge Private Law Centre at the University of Cambridge.
The event, which begins today, marks 100 years since Parliament passed a series of groundbreaking Acts which together introduced far-reaching reforms to the English law of real property.
While much of this legislation has since been repealed, updated or superseded, the Law of Property Act 1925 remains central to land law, and the broader legacy of the 1925 reforms continues to influence legislation, case law, and legal reform today.
Over the next two days, the conference will bring together leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the history, drafting, impact, and enduring legacy of this legislation. The list of speakers includes Falcon's Oliver Radley-Gardner KC, who will be presenting a talk this afternoon about the framers of the 1925 Reforms and their thoughts on Adverse Possession.
We extend our thanks to Dr Lorren Eldridge for arranging the conference.
