Kester Lees KC acts for St John’s College in successful urgent application for an interim injunction to remove a protest encampment

On Tuesday, 3 June 2025, Kester Lees KC acted for St John’s College in its successful urgent application for an interim injunction to remove a protestors’ encampment located on the lawn at the entrance to St John’s College in Cambridge, in order to allow their students to study and sit examinations without disturbance. 

Kester was instructed Mark Robertson of Bevan Brittan LLP.

Kester previously acted for Trinity College in obtaining a similar injunction on Sunday 1 June 2025 and together with Taylor Briggs for the University of London in its successful claims for a possession order and an interim injunction in respect of a similar protest encampment in University of London v Harvie-Clark & Ors [2024] EWHC 2895 (Ch).
