Kester Lees KC presents Taylor Briggs with a red bag
Kester Lees KC has presented Taylor Briggs with a red bag in recognition of her outstanding work in the cases of University of London v Harvie-Clark and others [2024] EWHC 2895 (Ch) and of AP Wireless II (UK) Limited v On Tower UK Limited, which was heard in the Court of Appeal this week.
The practice of gifting a red bag is a long-standing tradition at the Bar, used by a Silk to acknowledge the exceptional contribution a junior they have led has made to a case.
As is customary, the bag was presented on Kester’s behalf by one of Falcon’s junior clerks, Billy Baker.
Kester Lees KC said “Substantial cases are always a team effort but in both of these cases Taylor made exceptional contributions with her outstanding work; both on her feet and as part of the wider team. She really deserves this red bag in recognition of that work and as a token of my thanks.”
