The Residential Revolution Podcast | Episode 1: An Introduction | With Martin Dray and Tamsin Cox

Falcon Chambers is pleased to present The Residential Revolution, a new podcast series examining the significant legislative developments that have reshaped the residential landlord and tenant landscape in recent years.

Over the course of 11 episodes, we will guide you through this period of substantial reform, with particular focus on the Building Safety Act 2022, the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024, the Renters’ Rights Act 2025, and the Draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill. Each episode is hosted by two members of Falcon Chambers who are expert practitioners in the field.

In this first episode, series editors Martin Dray and Tamsin Cox set the scene, charting a brief history of the remarkable developments that have taken place over the last 4 years and setting them against a timeline of relevant historical events.

If you like what you hear, check back next Friday (1st May) for Episode 2, in which Daniel Black and Richard Miller discuss some of the more interesting parts of the Renters' Rights Act 2025, including the death of the assured shorthold tenancy, the introduction of landlord redress schemes, and the private rented sector database.
